Into the blue — trivago On Tour 2023

A visual and emotional journey — a reminder to disconnect to truly reconnect.

Into the blue is the creative concept behind trivago’s 2023 company trip to Mallorca. After the coronavirus pandemic, and working in a tech-driven environment, we felt we had lost touch with the analogue world — the tactile, the real, the present.

This three-day experience was conceived as a pause from screens and routines, inviting everyone to reconnect through movement, nature and Mediterranean calm.

As the lead designer for the project, I shaped the visual identity from the initial concept to its full expression throughout the event.

I developed a custom typeface inspired by the sinuous lines that waves leave on sand, and oversaw the creative direction of the video recap. I also coordinated closely with production, suppliers, and the events team to ensure a cohesive and consistent experience.
